As we are getting ready for an official launch of this site we are looking for people that want to get involved. We will welcome any articles, links, feeds or any other Miata related content. We also also looking for sponsors that may want to get exposure to the International Miata community.

Miata Club Registry

We have just started assembling the Club Registry. We are adding new clubs as we can. I Expect that we will have the entire US club list updated by Jan 15, 2007.

The Car is in the Garage

Today Fez and Jay picked up the car from Edwardo’s house. This was the first time that we have seen the car and to tell the truth this thing is a POS. Well the price was right.

To give you an idea of what we have to work with. When we picked it up it would not start. Looks like a dead battery or maybe a loose battery cable. We try to pop start the car and with 3 guys pushing and me popping the clutch in 4th gear I notice that there is either 1) clutch slipping just pop-starting it or 2) no compression. I don’t think that I have ever felt that when popping that car before. OK, we give up tryng to start the car and just push it up on the car dolley.

We get the car back to the house and Fez and I can not push it off the dolley and jump start it. Wow, it runs and I take it around the block. The car is soft, it could be tires with 12 lbs of air or shocks that are done or springs that are sprung. We will have to see what that is like after we start tearing it down.

We got the car in the garage and opened up the hatch and removed the crap in the car. Man there is a bunch of crap in the car. While unloading the car I made the mistake to put my foot on the bumper. Guess what happened. Yup it fell off.

We have our work cut out for us.

We have committed to purchase a 1990 Honda CRX si. The car already has 1/2 of the interior torn out.

The team is made up of all Miata owners and drivers. So why not take a Miata out there? Because we don’t have one worth less than $500.

Ever wonder what your car would look like with strips on it? Sure there are plenty of sites out there that will display a Miata of any color and then paint the stripes on it. The difference with Fez’s Stripe Gallery is that these are actual car photos collected by Fez and categorized by color. There are a number of other categories that you should also check out.
